Mulla on varmaan joka vuosi ennen tätä ollut suklaajoulukalenteri. Onhan mulla joskus ollut meikki- ja korukalentereitakin, mutta vaan suklaakalenterin lisäksi. Tänä vuonna päätin kuitenkin sivuuttaa sen ja hommata jonkun täysin erilaisen kalenterin. Mietin kaikenlaisia joulukalentereita ja googlailin niitä netistä. Lopulta muistin mitä olin jo pari vuotta halunnut, mutta en ikinä ostanut: Yankee Candle -joulukalenterin.
Yankee Candle:in kalenteri on täydellinen minunkaltaisille tuoksukynttilöiden rakastajille. Kynttilät tuovat tunnelmaa jokaiseen hetkeen ja rauhoittavat mielen. Tuoksukynttilöillä on sama vaikutus, mutta siitä saa myös ihanan tuoksun, joka valtaa koko huoneen. Kalenterin oston jälkeen olenkin polttanut melkein joka päivä tuoksukynttilöitä (jossei tätä viikkoa lasketa, kun nuhaisena en ole paljon mitään haistanut).
Kalenterissa on kuutta eri tuoksuista tuikkua, joiden hajuihin en ole ainakaan vielä kyllästynyt. Lempi tuoksuni on varmaan Macaron Treat eli macaron leivos. Tuikut ovat kaikki jouluisen värisiä ja tykkään myös koko joulukalenterin ulkonäöstä ja väreistä. Se sopii täydellisesti huoneeni joulunurkkaukseen.
Suosittelen lämpimästi kynttiläjoulukalenteria kaikille, jotka kaipaavat jotain muuta kuin sitä perus suklaakalenteria!
My advent calendar
I've probably had a chocolate advent calendar every year before now. I've had make up and jewellery calendars as well, but only along with a chocolate one. However, this year I decided to skip it and get something more unordinary and special. I thought about all kinds of advent calendars and I googled them online. Eventually I remembered what I had wanted for a couple of years, but what I'd never bought: the Yankee Candle advent calendar.
Yankee Candle's calendar is perfect for scented candle lovers like me. Candles bring this magical feeling and they calm your mind. Scented candles have the same effect, but you also get a lovely scent all around the room. I've lit a scented candle almost every day after I got the calendar (except this week because I haven't really smelt anything 'cause of the flu).
The calendar has six different types of scented candles and at least for now I still love the smell of each of them. My favourite is probably the Macaron Treat. The scented tea lights have christmasy colours and I also like the look and the colours of the whole calendar. It goes perfectly to my Christmas decorations.
I highly recommend this candle advent calendar to everyone who wants something else than a basic chocolate calendar!
